MacDonald + MacDonald is a business law boutique in Dallas, Texas focused on insolvency and commercial litigation. We combine strategic thinking, creative solutions, and aggressive client service to resolve client business problems. Our business planning and dispute resolution practice covers the full business lifespan from cradle to grave and sometimes to a fresh start for a business or its assets.

Over 90% of our matters are referred to us by in-house counsel or other attorneys. The existing or potential disputes which we solve often involve multiple parties scattered throughout the United States. Our cases have involved venues as diverse as Arizona, California, Delaware, Georgia, Texas and Michigan. Our depth of expertise, limited number of conflicts, and financial strength permits MacDonald + MacDonald to accept major cases that other law firms cannot handle. We have staffed debtor cases involving thousands of creditors, 5,000+ employees, and multi-state operations.

We are not, and have not sought to be, board certified as bankruptcy specialists by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. We do not limit our practice to bankruptcy courts. We are not a “debt relief agency” and do not represent consumer bankrupts. Our business litigation is primarily in the federal courts.

Why should a business or a forwarding attorney hire us?

  1. We focus on practical business solutions. You won’t receive extensive abstract legal memos drafted by a junior associate.
  2. We are aggressive, creative and are accustomed to crisis decision making.
  3. We are highly credible in the courts and in negotiations. Our extensive articles, bar activity and lecturing have provided both visibility and a local and national network of relationships which are very important in successfully negotiating business solutions.
